Here are some answers to common questions.

Here at St. Paul United Methodist Church, we have a number of parking spaces available for you and your family. Our main entrance is off of Davies Plantation Rd. where you will find a number of assigned parking spaces surrounding our Sanctuary and Multipurpose Building.

If you are visiting our Sanctuary, you may use 1 of the following:

North Side Doors – Both doors will take you directly into the Narthex as you enter the sanctuary.
(the North doors are accessible by driving around the front and West side of the Sanctuary to the North facing parking lot)

If you are visiting our Preschool, please use their direct entrance between the Multipurpose Building and the Gym.

If you are visiting our Multipurpose Building where you will find, classrooms, the fellowship hall, Church Office as well as Pastor’s Office please use the entrance facing Davies Plantation closest to the mailbox.

At St. Paul we have a variety of styles throughout our congregation therefor we are open to being dressed up or dressed down.

We have a couple different programs for our kids of all ages. There is Sunday School from 9:30-10:30 for kids aged birth-senior year.

During worship, we have Promiseland which is for children Kindergarten – 5th grade. For our youngest kiddos (birth-4years old) we have a nursery available starting at 9:00am. You can find more information here on our children's ministry page!

If you wish to become a member, you may do so the following ways:

  • By profession of faith: for those who have never joined a church.
  • By reaffirmation of faith: for those who wish to renew their vows.
  • By transfer of letter: your membership is transferred from your former church.

Whichever process you choose, we will be happy to receive you!

Our membership vows are in the Hymnal and these are the questions we will ask you, if you wish to join the church:

As members of Christ’s universal church,
will you be loyal to Christ through The United Methodist Church, and do all in your power to strengthen its ministries?
I will.

As members of this congregation,
will you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness?
I will.

The congregation answer:
We give thanks for all that God has already given you and we welcome you in Christian love. As members together with you in the body of Christ and in this congregation of The United Methodist Church, we renew our covenant faithfully to participate in the ministries of the church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness, that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.

If you wish to join the church, we ask that you please contact our pastor, Rev. Dr. Brad Thomas at pastor@stpaul-lakeland.org

Our mission statement says:
We are a WELCOMING family of faith, SERVING others while GROWING in Christ.

All are WELCOME at St. Paul United Methodist church and we will be blessed to have you as members of this congregation.
